After one week of being established our Internal Recruiters Australia Network has quickly grown to over 100 internal, inhouse, corporate Recruiters and HR professionals who want to network, share information, ideas, industry trends, and expertise relating to Recruitment and Selection.

Most Australian businesses are staffing up again. As founder of this group I wanted to create a platform to enable our community to network, discuss, share and learn from one another on cutting edge best practice trends in recruitment and selection methodologies.

My view is that (generally speaking) the HR community needs to take a more active role in ensuring the integrity of internal selection processes. Leaving it to chance that your line managers are engaging in a rigorous selection process is like gambling on a horse race. Tell us your view.

If you an inhouse, corporate recruiter or HR professional then join our group http://linkd.in/9k5Gdw
WHAT'S BETTER THAN 100,000 FREQUENT FLYER POINTS?

Start up aggressively targets SMEs with a $1,000 Flight Centre gift voucher for using the free, easiest way to find, assess and engage the best recruiters

Have you ever calculated how long and how much it costs to rack up 100,000 points? Well unless you are flying international first class frequently you are in for a long haul. One start up is aggressively targeting SMEs with a $1,000 Flight Centre gift voucher when they use their free unbiased service to find and select the best recruiter to fill a job vacancy.

Finding the right recruiter to fill a job vacancy amongst the tens of thousands of consultants employed by more than 2,000 firms and agencies is not easy and requires time, effort, planning, a large network and often a trial and error approach, until RecruiterCritic. A free service to Australian businesses that finds, assesses and recommends recruiters that are appropriate to fill a specific vacancy.

John Millican, Director of RecruiterCritic said “ we reduce a business’s risk when choosing to engage a Recruiter or Search consultant. With a panel of industry experts we have developed a three step assessment process that is targeted to identify and assess the best recruiter to fill a job vacancy. Recruiters are assessed on their previous delivery of similar roles, their own commercial experience and qualifications, their selection expertise and the support their firm provides.”

RecruiterCritic asks for nominations of high performing recruiters amongst a network of hiring managers, human resource staff and other recruiters and places these recruiters through a thorough assessment process that includes an online registration, interview and reference checks. “There is no service, free or otherwise that offers to thoroughly interview the interviewer and identify who hiring managers should give a job vacancy to fill. We assess recruiters across a number of important areas and offer a recommendation and comparison document to our clients of two to consider to fill their vacancy”, offered Mr Millican.

RecruiterCritic only receives revenue when a recruiter delivers for its clients as it takes a percentage of the recruitment fee that a client would normally pay. “Our mission is threefold. 1. to make it simple to choose among the tens of thousands of recruiters, 2. take away the frustration of dealing with the wrong recruiter and 3. decrease the costs associated with recruitment for our clients. We only get paid if our clients get a positive outcome.” offered Mr Millican.

Simply use RecruiterCritic to find, compare and engage a recruiter or search professional for a job vacancy and RecruiterCritic will kick off your travel plans with a $1,000 gift voucher as their thanks. OK, ERNST & YOUNG HAVE SOMETHING ELSE TO ANSWER FOR...

Is it just me or is there something deeply disturbing about this recruitment video for E&Y?

HOW NOT TO USE VIDEO AS A RECRUITING TOOL

There are some great examples of organisations winning using video as a highly effective tool for attraction and Employment branding. Unfortunately, this is not one of those examples -

The highlight for me, is hearing a key selling point of becoming an employee is that "you get to crawl through buildings" hhhmmm, where do I apply?
